Year GroupsYear 6
Welcome to Year 6
As the oldest children in the school, Year 6 experience many exciting opportunities including a residential trip, their end of year production and their leavers’ assembly which celebrates their experiences at and contribution to North Ealing Primary School. They are increasingly independent and act as role models for the younger children around the school, for examples, as monitors and ‘learning buddies’. Along with all the other years at North Ealing, Year 6 enjoy a broad, purposeful and rich curriculum with plenty of exciting opportunities to develop cultural capital. In the summer term, the children also spend a lot of time thinking about and discussing their transition to high school. Of course, the Year 6 children also work hard, particularly in preparation for their SATs in May, but they still find plenty of time to enjoy their final year at primary school.
See curriculum maps for further information about the Year 6 curriculum.
