Year Groups

Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

Now that the children have entered Upper Key Stage 2, they build on developing their independence and maturity, both in terms of their learning and their friendships. They also have an opportunity to help younger children at playtime in their role as Playground Friends. As part of an exciting, immersive curriculum, they learn all about space, the kings and queens of Great Britain, islands around the world, sustainability and the work of Georgia O’Keefe and Andy Warhol. There is a large choice of clubs for them to get involved in, including a variety of sports, drama, music and film club. Throughout the year, the children have an opportunity to go on trips and get involved in a variety of exciting outdoor activities.
