Year 3Welcome to Year 3
Year 3 is an exciting year as it marks the start of KS2 for our children. Pupils are heavily supported in the transition from KS1 to KS2. There is less focus on phonic and more on understanding and learning spelling rules.
Their immersive, nurturing curriculum includes the study of a variety of topics with robust curriculum connections that build on the knowledge and skills developed in previous years. The children really enjoy the move to our Centennial building, with its lovely views over Pitshanger Park.
Moving to Year 3 means children have access to more school clubs such as gymnastics, film club and orchestra.
