KS2 Singing Assembly

1.
There’s a thought that keeps me up at night Of a place I long to see.
In a world where I am all grown up,
Free to follow all my dreams.

But I don’t know how to get there, If it’s all within my reach.

So hold up for a minute,
Look up at the stars,
Take stock of the bigger picture. All this world to be explored, So hold up.

2.
If we just accept the cards we’re dealt Will we ever truly know
Of the rides beyond this carousel,
Of an even bigger show?

I must find a way to get there, It is all within my reach.

So hold up for a minute,
Look up at the stars,
Take stock of the bigger picture. Hold up for a minute,
I might be a while.
All this world to be explored,
So hold up
For a minute, look up at the stars Take stock of the bigger picture. Hold up for a minute,
I might be a while.
All this world to be explored,
So hold up.

So hold up,
So hold up.

1.
There’s a feeling in the air
That the children long to share,
It’s the sign that we all care
For the world.

Our beautiful world,
Our beautiful world,
Let’s never forget that it’s under threat,
Our beautiful world.

2.
From the felling of the trees
To the rising of the seas
And the warming by degrees
Of the world.

Our beautiful world,
Our beautiful world,
Let’s never forget that it’s under threat,
Our beautiful world.

3.
And it’s up to me and you.
We’re the ones to see it through.
There is so much we can do
For the world.

Our beautiful world,
Our beautiful world,
Let’s never forget that it’s under threat,
Our beautiful world.

Our beautiful world,
Our beautiful world,
Let’s never forget that it’s under threat,
Our beautiful world,
Our beautiful world.

We’re here today
To learn and play.

All the blessings I have!

I’ve got a song I can sing in the night.
I’m gonna say, every day, that I’m grateful for
All the good things in life!

You can never be too grateful,
It’s a funny thing.
When you start to count your blessings,
You’ll sing, sing, sing!

(Repeat)

Repeat verses 1 and 2

CHORUS
Repeat verse 1
I’ve got a song I can sing in the morning,
I’ve got a song I can sing in the night.
I’m gonna say, every day, that I’m grateful for
All the good things in life!
I’m gonna say, every day, that I’m grateful for
All the good things in life!

We’ve got to get on together,
Think of each other,
Look at ways to help us get along.
If we can learn how to listen,
Where there’s division,
We can live as one.
(Repeat, x1 only)

We’ve got to trust one another,
Stand with each other,
Fix our eyes on all that’s right not wrong.
If we can learn to be sorry,
Love everybody,
We can live as one.

(Repeat, x1 only)

Repeat song twice

We can live as one.
We can live as one.

Put your best smile on your face.
Stand up tall, move into space.
Ev’rybody touch their nose and then their toes
And stretch up to the sky.
Now we’re gonna stamp our feet, click to the beat
Then reach our arms up high.

It’s gonna be a great, great day.
It’s gonna be a great, great day.
I’m bursting with amazing energy.
I’m gonna try my very best.
I’m gonna try my very best.
I’m bursting with amazing energy.

Shrug your shoulders up and down.
Clap your hands and turn around.
Now we’re going to say good morning to our neighbour,
Turn and shake their hand.
Ev’rybody give the thumbs up, A-O.K.
That this day will be grand.

It’s gonna be a great, great day.
It’s gonna be a great, great day.
I’m bursting with amazing energy.
I’m gonna try my very best.
I’m gonna try my very best.
I’m bursting with amazing energy.

1.
We’re back and we are older,
We’re stronger and we’ve grown.
We’re back and we are bolder,
No longer on our own.

And we are moving all the time.
And we are proving that we’re fine,
And we are choosing to be kind,
We are back!

2.
We’re back and we are brighter,
We’re shining like the sun.
We’re back and we are lighter,
To share with everyone.

And we are moving all the time.
And we are proving that we’re fine,
And we are choosing to be kind,
We are back!

We’ll face the future,
As we go we will stand.
Together we are strong,
We walk hand in hand, hand in hand.

And we are moving all the time,
And we are proving that we’re fine,
And we are choosing to be kind.

And we are moving all the time,
And we are proving that we’re fine,
And we are choosing to be kind,
We are back!
