KS2 Singing Assembly Songs

The sun sends a smile across the earth,
Open your window,
Upon the face of every boy and girl,
See how the trees grow,
Sing a celebration of light and love,
And may joy and peace illuminate us all.

We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.
We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.

Feel the heartbeat of earth, sea and sky,
Run through the meadow,
The glory of creation set before your eyes,
Feel how the wind blows
Each and every morning, we wake to the light,
And the darkness of the night can never hide.

We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.
We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.

Put your hands together and beat as one,
Everybody be as one,
The heart of the human race under a single sun,
Stamp your feet and join the fun,
The family of man, each and every race,
Set up on this world with the light to guide our way

We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.
We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.
We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.
We all shine for each other,
In the end, in the end.

We all shine, we all shine,
We all shine, We all shine, yeah. (Repeat x 7)

We all shine!

1.
We all need a helping hand to lift us when we fall.
To hear a kind, supportive voice
When we’re sad and feeling small.
To see a friend beside us can make us feel like new,
Cos the gift of love can help us all pull through.

Will you spread a little bit of sunshine when it’s grey?
Spread a little bit of sunshine,
And drive the blues away.
Generate some laughter and fun along the way,
Will you spread a little bit of sunshine when it’s grey and brighten up a day?
Brighten up a day, brighten up a day,
Brighten up a day.

2.
Share a smile with a friend and see their day improve.
A little generosity but its impact can be huge.
A neighbourly “good morning”,
An easy-going “hi”,
It’s the gift of love that helps us all get by.

Will you spread a little bit of sunshine when it’s grey?
Spread a little bit of sunshine,
And drive the blues away.

Generate some laughter and fun along the way,
Will you spread a little bit of sunshine when it’s grey and brighten up a day?

Brighten up a day, brighten up a day.
Brighten up a day, brighten up a day.

Brighten up a day, brighten up a day.
Brighten up a day, brighten up a day.

Sing me on a journey;
Sing soft when the warm winds blow.
Sing me on a journey;
I face the sun and my eyes are closed.

Sing me on a journey;
I sing out on the mountains high.
Sing me on a journey;
Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry.

So the journey goes by, and I’m still singing.
I laugh and I cry, and I’m still singing.
I can fall, I can fly, and I’m still singing.
Say hello or goodbye, and I’m still singing. mm mm

Sing me on a journey;
Sing soft when the warm winds blow.
Sing me on a journey;
I face the sun and my eyes are closed.

Sing me on a journey;
Sing soft like a lullaby.
Sing me on a journey;
Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry.

So the journey goes by, and I’m still singing.
I laugh and I cry, and I’m still singing.
I can fall, I can fly, and I’m still singing.
Say hello or goodbye, and I’m still singing. mm mm
